La Salle 19, Roxborough 6
    After all-night and morning rains, which followed two days of
snow, Scott Maxwell collected 122 yards and two TDs on 29 carries as La
Salle finished unbeaten for the second time in three seasons. Johnny
Herrera added 40 yards on 17 rushes and scored a TD on Paul Aita's lone
completion in five attempts. Fred Shaughnessey and Walt McDonald had
interceptions. For Roxborough, Jim Pownall rushed 19 times for 52 yards
and lineman George Reistad rumbled 21 yards for a score with an

At Olney
Roxborough 20, Lincoln 6
    Halfback Jim Pownall scored TDs on passes of 45 and 43 yards
from Bob Minissale as Roxborough won its first title in 19 years of PL
competition. The Indians (10-0) allowed a TD for only the fourth time
all season. Bill Calhoun blocked two punts, George Reistad recovered a
fumble deep in Roxborough territory and Pownall made an interception.
For Lincoln, Joe Fabrizio ran 30 yards for a score.

    The Explorers went to 7-0-0 (a game vs. North was canceled) by
thrashing visiting St. James, 40-18. John Herrera ran 18 times for 144
yards and three TDs and added four PAT to finish with 101 league points.
Scott Maxwell added 137 yards and two TDs on 23 carries. North went
5-1-1 for second.

  The decisive game featured a match between teams with eerie
similarities. Visiting PC and GA were both 3-0 with a 102-0 scoring
advantage. But the Quakers cruised, 34-6, on single TDs by Jamie
Hoover, Lee Jackson, Richie Allman, Merrick Barnes and Tom Scott.
