I would like to thank two coaches of the Mastbaum football team, Head Coach Al Coleman and Defensive Cordinator/Linebacker Coach Donald Richardson. I would like to thank those two men because when head coach John Murphy step down we didn't have any coaches or head coaches to take charge of our team and almost didn't have a Mastbaum football program. Then coach Coleman came to us with a serious look on his face saying he was going to be our head coach. He told us he was no coach Murphy and didn't have to much experience as a varsity head coach but he was going to keep the Mastbaum tradition going, keep us together, have the seniors finish there high school careers off right. He help us stay together he didn't let coach Murphy departure get us down. Many things didn't go our way this season but we made the best of it. So to you coach Coleman I and the rest of the Mastbaum Football team thank you.
I didn't forget about you coach 'Don,'' I would like to give thanks to a football coach, a good friend, a mentor. Coach Don was the back bone of the team, when times got rough, we were arguing with eachother, he kept us together, he kept us focused, made sure we looked out for eachother, taught us to play as a family.
When I came on in the 10th grade I thought I knew everything I needed to know about linebacking but I didn't. Coach Don thought the basics and the fundamentals about playing as the middle linebacker. With that I became much successful as the years went on, he began to teach me more about the middle linebacking position. I thank you for that and coming back to help and coach the team out this year.
To the two coaches that came back and did what they can the whole entire 2004 Mastbaum football team "THANKS YOU."
