REGULAR SEASON RESULTS
April 2
Northeast 7, GAMP 5: Ari Bluestein got the win and
cracked a two-run homer.
April 4
GAMP 10, Edison 0: Andrew Scafetta pitched three innings
of the two-hit shutout and helped himself
by going 3 for 3 with nine RBI, including a three-run homer in the third inning and a
grand slam in the fourth.
April 8
Frankford 4, GAMP 1: Glenn LaBadie pitched a three-hitter with nine strikeouts
and had a two-run
double in a four-run fourth. Adam Hartman and Matt Colon also had RBI.
April 11
GAMP 10, Bartram 9: Nick DiVario went 2-for-3 with five
RBI; his two-run single made it 9-9 in the
home sixth. Dominic DeMarco scored on an error in the seventh. Anthony Caines allowed five
hits.
Bartram's Ian Greaves doubled twice.
April 15
Roxborough 8, GAMP 0: Mike Gibbs pitched a one-hitter
with 16 strikeouts and went 3-for-4 with a
three-run homer and four RBI. Chuck Richardson also homered.
April 16
Washington 8, GAMP 7: Dennis Massott went 3-for-5 with a
double, homer and three RBI. Massott's
double scored Brian Morgan and capped a three-run home seventh. Winner Rob Ritterson
fanned six
in four innings. For GAMP, Andrew Scafetta homered and doubled twice while Nick DiVario
also homered.
April 18
Central 8, GAMP 7: The Lancers scored two in the home
sixth to make Noah White a winner in relief
(two-thirds of an inning). GAMP scored six in the top half. Mike Kane had two hits and
scored three runs.
Lightning halted the game in the seventh.
April 23
Washington 19, GAMP 6: Jason Welte's two doubles in an
eight-run second led the way. Welte also
threw out two baserunners. Harry Parfitt contributed a 2-run homer as part of a 20-hit
attack.
April 26
Northeast 7, GAMP 4: Ryan Zastowney fanned seven in a
four-hitter and Steve Sandberg homered.
April 29
GAMP 10, Edison 0: Anthony Caines allowed five hits.
May 7
GAMP 15, Bartram 7: Anthony Caines fanned eight and Jeff
Colon tripled en route to four RBI.
May 14
Frankford 12, GAMP 6: Dave Firth had two homers among
five hits, good for five RBI. Matt Colon
also homered. Anthony Caines homered for GAMP.
May 16
GAMP 7, Roxborough 5: Mario Malatino got the win and
David Scirrotto went 3-for-4 with two RBI.
Losing pitcher Mike Gibbs homered twice.
May 17
Central 8, GAMP 2: Noah White spun a three-hitter with 12
strikeouts and Ryan Meyer went 2-for-3
with a homer and two RBI.

May 23
Round of 16
GAMP 6, Bok 4: Mario Malatino struck out 13 over six
innings and went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Anthony
Caines pitched the entire seventh and ended it by getting a looking strikeout with the
bases loaded. Nick
DiVario had a two-run double. Bok's Joe DeSalis had two RBI.
May 30
Quarterfinal
GAMP 2, Central 1: Mario Malatino permitted six hits and
struck out eight to outduel Noah White
(four-hitter, 10 whiffs). The Pioneers' runs scored on an error and a wild pitch.
Central's John Hogan had
an RBI single.
June 3
Semifinal
GAMP 8, Frankford 7: GAMP, 5-9 during the regular season,
scored eight runs in the third inning to
take an 8-1 lead and then held on. Anthony Caines went four innings for the win. Mario
Malatino earned
the save by escaping a one-out, second-and-third jam in the home seventh with a strikeout
and groundout.
Malatino and Jeff Colon had RBI singles in GAMP's third. For Frankford, 14-0 in the
regular season, Joe
Manini (single) and Ambioris Puntier (double) had hits worth two RBI.
June 6
Final
GAMP 8, Northeast 6: The Pioneers, part of PL baseball
since 1989, won their first championship by
rallying from a 4-1 deficit in the last three innings. David Scirrotto had an RBI single
in a three-run fifth
and a two-run single in a three-run sixth. The run that broke a 4-4 tie scored on a passed
ball. Matt Sestito
also had hits in each of the three-run uprisings. The momentum swung when third baseman
Jeff Colon
made an outstanding play on a grounder to end the fourth and keep Northeast's lead from
expanding to 5-1.
Mario Malatino, on two days' rest, toughed out a 10-hitter and went the distance.
Northeast had runners at
second and third with one out in the home seventh when Malatino induced a popout and
groundout to end
it. Ken Wlodarczyk went 3-for-4 with a double, triple and one RBI. Starting pitcher Ryan
Zastowney had
a two-run single. Northeast committed six errors to none for GAMP. GAMP, which had just 11
players in
uniform (10 percent of the school's male enrollment), won its four playoff games by six
runs total.
