  This week's star to go one on one with Amauro is Roman's long-armed, yet undersized warrior Charron Fisher. Fisher is on pace to shatter all of Roman's scoring records. He does it in bullying fashion, but he also has recently shown a penchant for shooting it from the perimeter which is step one in his developing a Wingman's Game. If he finishes this process, he would be uncoverable as he goes harder than anybody and bullies guys much, much bigger. His vicious dunks are earth-shattering. Nobody gets it done like Fisher as last season he once had a performance of 40 Points & 20 Boards. With gradual progess, there is no doubt in my mind that this kid could be atleast a Mid Major D1 Player. He just has the heart of a lion and the will to win and succeed. Sometimes that's all it takes. I had a chance to sit down with Fisher this past weekend in Long Island as he ran with Sam Rines in the Adidas 3 Stripes Tourney.

  AA: What nicknames have you been given, Charron?
CF: Everyone calls me "The Manchild."
  AA: Who are the toughest players that you've played against in High School or on the AAU circuit?
  CF: The toughest guys that I have seen have been Al Jefferson (a 6-9 265-lb rising Junior monster from MS. Many have called him the #1 player in that Class.), Shaun Livingston (a 6-6 167-lb Rising Junior showtime PG from Peoria, IL. I feel he's the 3nd best player in the Class.), Wayne Marshall (our 6-10 Center from King HS) & Micheal Blackshear (our 6-6 bruiser of Simon Gratz who will attend Temple in the Fall.)
  AA: What do you need to improve in your game?
CF: I must improve my ballhandling and my shooting to get ready for college.
  AA: What sneaker brand do you like the most?
CF: I like Nike & Adidas.
  AA: Who do you credit with your Basketball? Why?
CF: I credit my mother Portel Rogers because she takes me everywhere I need to be to play and supports me 100%.
  AA: Where are you from?
CF: I am from Pennsauken, NJ.
  AA: What Camps will/have you attend this summer?
CF: I attended Nike Underclassman Hoop Jamboree in June and was invited to Nike All-American Camp late, but didn't attend because of travel problems.
  AA: What teams will you play for this summer?
CF: I will play for the Philadelphia Patriots, Sam Rines & Hunting Park (Coached by Greg Wright).
  AA: What colleges do you like?
CF: I like Maryland, North Carolina & Stanford.
  AA: Who are your favorites to watch (1 Pro, 1 College, 1 High School)?
CF: In the Pros, I like Tracy McGrady (Orlando Magic), In college I like Dajuan Wagner (Memphis & recent Cleveland Cavs draftee) & In High school I like to watch Sean Singletary (Penn Charter).

  This week's star to go one-on-one with Amauro is Penn Charter's new PG Sean Singletary. Singletary is arguably one of the Top 3 PGs in the area regardless of class. He has had good showings against everybody from A to Z. He vows to make his return to his city roots from small Perkiomen School in Montgomery County a nightmare for everyone else as he is more confident and focused than ever. He may not be a familiar name to all City buffs, but he had a one year stint at Haverford School as a Freshman and he has been around for many summers. He is also one of the area's better prospects in Football as a speedy (4.5/40) Wide Receiver. Not to mention, the fact that he has already received a qualifying SAT score of 1010. Basically, he is the type of kid that every parent wishes were their son because he has a ticket written for him to be a success. It's only up to him to punch it. Double S, as I have tabbed him, plays the game with that certain something, that combines grace, aggressiveness, attitude, skill & knowledge. One evaluator commented to me once that, "Sean Singletary makes the difficult look simple." That just about sums it up. He's a natural. I had the chance to sit down with Sean last week before his Alvin Williams Team (Coached by the Legendary, Tom "Puck" McKenna) played their Sonny Hill Game against the Eddie Jones team from the Main Line.

  AA: What nicknames have you been given Sean?
SS: People call me "Shiz" & "Octane." ("I call him Double S.")
  AA: Who are the toughest players that you've played against in High School or on the AAU circuit?
SS: The toughest guys that I have seen have been Al Jefferson (a 6-9 265-lb rising Junior monster from MS. Many have called him the #1 player in that Class.), T.J Bannister (5-11 PG from Florida, one of the top 20 PGs in the Class.), Darius Washington (5-11 Rising Junior PG from Florida, one of the Top 5 PGs in that Class.), Curtis Sumpter (6-7 Villanova Freshman Combo Forward via Bishop Loughlin in Brooklyn, NY.) & Randy Foye (6-3 Villanova Freshman Point Guard via Eastside HS in Newark, NJ.).
  AA: What do you hope to accomplish this summer and beyond?
SS: Well I just work out 3 to 4 times a day. I'm working hard to become the best and eventually I want to become a Pro.

SS: I like Nike & Adidas.
  AA: Who do you credit with your Basketball? Why?
SS: I credit my parents Harold & Jackie Singletary because they put me out there to play ball. They took me all over the city to play when I was younger.

SS: I am from McCallum Ave. & Lincoln Dr. in Mt. Airy.
  AA: What Camps will you attend this summer?
SS: I am going to Adidas ABCD Camp in Teaneck, NJ from July 7-11, I am going to the Eastern Invitational Session IV in Mid August & Five Star Camp in Late August.
  AA: What teams will you play for this summer?
SS: I will play for the Philadelphia Patriots & the Tim Thomas Playaz (Coached by Jimmy Salmon).
  AA: What colleges do you like?
SS: I like Texas, Wake Forest, Villanova, Syracuse & Seton Hall.
  AA: Who are your favorites to watch (1 Pro, 1 College, 1 High School)?
SS: In the Pros, I always used to like Isiah Thomas (former Detriots Piston Great). In College, I like to watch Texas Whirlwind PG T.J Ford. In High School, I like to watch Latta HS graduated Sr. PG Ray Felton, who is headed to North Carolina.

   This week's star to go one-on-one with Amauro is 6-10 240-lb King Rising Senior giant, Wayne Marshall. The Big fella has at times looked like the City's next Pro Big Guy. Ironically, other times he has looked uninspired and disinterested. Still many schools in the East would grasp at the chance to see what will come about from this ultra-skilled big man. Most scouting services have the Big Guy in their Top 75, but I feel that he is much better, at least Top 50 and that's scary because he isn't close to scratching the surface. Many don't know, but Marshall will not turn 17 until January which spells nothing, but good. Add that factor to his size, strength, fantastic footwork, athleticism & offensive ability and we could be talking about a special prospect once he puts it all together. I had the chance to sit down with Wayne after his King Team dropped a tough Positive Image League playoff Game to the Mallery All-Star Squad last week. Befittingly, Wayne went off for atleast 30 points and looked better than I ever saw him.

  AA: What nicknames have you been given Wayne?
WM: "Gobby" was my childhood name and now people call me "Baby Shaq."
  AA: Who are the toughest players you have played against to date?
WM: The toughest guys I have seen have been Jason Cain (6-9 Bartram Rising Senior) & Micheal Blackshear (6-6 Gratz Bulwark headed for Temple. Ironically, their dads, Wayne & Micheal, battled it out at Germantown & Overbrook respectively in the mid-70's.)
  AA: What do you hope to accomplish this summer and on to your Senior year?
WM: I want to do well at ABCD Camp and at all the Tournaments.
  AA: What sneaker brand do you like to ball in the most?
WM: Adidas.
  AA: Who do you credit with your basketball success? Why?
WM: My dad, Wayne Marshall Sr. because he was a great player and he taught me how to play.

WM: I am from Price & McMahon Sts around Chew & Chelten in East Germantown.

WM: I am going to ABCD Camp in Teaneck, NJ from July 7-11.

WM: I will be playing with the Philadelphia Phoenix in Vegas coached by Horace "Pappy" Owens & Rodney Handy, I will play with the Positive Image Traveling Team coach by Larry Waiters & I will play with King's High School Team.

WM: I have always liked Temple & Maryland.

WM: In the NBA, I like Tracy McGrady (Orlando Magic). In College, I like Lynn Greer (Temple). In High School, I like Mustafa Shakur (Friends Central's #1 PG in the Country & #5 Player Overall according to the Hoop Scoop.)

DW: Everybody calls me " D. White", "6-6 206" & "Shizo."

DW: The toughest guy that I've seenhas been 6-9 265-lb Soph. Center Al Jefferson of Prentiss, MS. (He is rated as the #1 or #2 Player in the Class of 2004 Nationally depending on who you ask.)
SC: The toughest guy that I have played against has been King's 6-10 240-lb Jr. Center Wayne Marshall.
  AA: What do you guys hope to accomplish this summer and onto next year?
DW: I want to win all of these Tournaments, earn All-Tourney and MVP honors & just better my game.
SC: I just want to improve my game.

  AA: Who do you credit with your Basketball success? Why?
DW: I credit both Coach Shawn Smith (Patriots) & Coach Dave Distel (Dougherty) because they push me to work hard in every game and at every practice.
SC: I credit Coach Smith because he is the reason I got better.
  AA: What part of the City are you from?
DW: I am from 32nd St. & York Ave. in North Philly, but I now live in Olney around Rising Sun Ave. & Tabor Rd.
SC: I am from 19th St. & Somerset Ave. in North Philly, I lived in West Oak Lane for the past few years, but I now live around 16th & Spring Garden Sts in the North Central Area.
  AA: What Camps will you attend this summer?
DW: I'll probably attend the Eastern Invitation Session #1 from July 7-11 at the College of New Jersey.
SC: I'm going to the Nike Underclassman Hoop Jamboree next week in Indianapolis, IN and I will also attend the first session of the Eastern Invitational.
  AA: What teams will you run with this summer?
DW: I'm playing with the Patriots coached by Joe Westerfer & Shawn Smith, Cuttino Mobley All-Stars coached by Kamal Yard, Cardinal Dougherty & possibly in Vegas with Hunting Park coached by Greg Wright.
SC: I'm playing with Philly MJC coached by Lonnie Lowry, The Patriots coached by Joe Westerfer & Shawn Smith, Cuttino Mobley All-Stars coached by Kamal Yard, Philly Hoops coached by Ron George & Cardinal Dougherty.

DW: I like Duke, Florida, Seton Hall & LaSalle.
SC: I like Boston College & LaSalle.
