Terrell Lee is a junior at Thomas Edison and the FB quarterback, and he already holds the school record for passing yards in a game (249). He said he was bored without having practice/games anymore, and wanted to help fill his time by attending games and filing reports. We thank Terrell for joining our nutty club.
Terrell may be contacted at tlee14@ymail.com.

FEB. 3
PUBLIC A
Edison 75, King 51
This game started out slow for both teams. The 1st and 2nd quarters were kinda close, but then in the second half Edison took off. Luis Martinez struggled today, as he shot 8 for 20 from the field, 1 for 6 on treys and 2 for 4 at the line. He finished with 19 points. His only trey came in the first quarter. Also in the first quarter King's Thomas Moore was doing most of the scoring for them; he had 8 and finished with 14. Edison's second unit began the second quarter. Curtis Jennings had a decent session as he dished out 4 dimes in  by himself (finished with 5) and had 4 points (and finished with 4). Donte Baker hit 2 threes in that quater. (his cousin George Baker was in attendance) The second half was starting off the same way. King's Kevin James started scoring, trying to boost his team. (He had 18). But that was killed with 2 major turnovers. It was crazy because they came in the same way. They would get the ball under the court and try to throw it to the man behind halfcourt. And both times Omar English picked it off and took it the distance. One time he had a chance to turn it over but he played it smart and took the 2. He had an explosive 3rd quarter, scoring 8 (he finished with 12) and hustling on defense. After that I don't know what happened to King. They started turning the ball over and taking crazy shots, but they played hard. Francisco Medina had a good game, except he was in foul trouble. If not, he could have had a great game. Even so, he had 13 points and 14 rebounds. A lot of his rebounds came off the offensive side. He would miss the shot, go get it and go right back up. Ed Rivera had 11 points on 3 treys and a layup. Player of the Game goes to Coach Reilly. He was calm the whole game. Even though his team was playin' sloppy in the first half. I don't know what kind of speech he gave the players at halftime, but they straightened up and pulled off the victory.

JAN. 20
PUBLIC A
Edison 72, Bartam 68
Whew!!!!!! This is harder than it looked. Fast-paced environment. Felt like when we were playing against Bristol in football lol. The first half was kinda shaky for Edison. Bartram's SOLOMON DAVIS started out hot hitting 2 treys in the first 2 minutes then hitting a couple inside shots (he finished with 13 points). But then here comes Edison. Down 30-23, Mr. MARTHREENEZ (Luis Martinez) hit a BIG three-pointer. And when I say big, I do mean big because it was only a couple steps beyond halfcourt. "Splash!" lol. Then Edison went on a before-halftime run and ended the half with the score 32-33, Bartram up. In the 3rd quarter Edison's ED RIVERA heated up, hitting 5 treys within a 2 minute span then MR. MARTHREENEZ turned around and hit another bomb from almost halfcourt. End of the third quarter, Edison up, 56-43. The 4th quater was hard fought. Bartram star TYRONE GARLAND scored 15 points in the quarter alone, bringing his team back and tying the game at 65 (he finished with 35 points). QUASIM JONES also hit some key shots(he had 13 points). Then OMAR "ODOG" ENGLISH. a guard-sized forward, drove to the rack and got a key and-one (he finished with 11). Martinez hit a couple free throws to make the score 71-65 with a couple seconds left, then garland hit a trey. The big guy for Edison was FRANCISCO MEDINA, who was blockin' shots left and right and had a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds along with 7 blocks. He started today. Need to keep him there. Edison as a team shot 10 of 18 on treys. AKEEM CHISHOLM had 6 assists and 3 rebounds. Solid. Bartram had a chance to come back in the last couple minutes but they took unnecessary shots. A lot of threes.

Player of the game: Francico Medina easily takes this award lol. He made a lot of key rebounds he hustled and played good defense, too. Those 7 blocks really helped.
