  The Philadelphia Select Boys AAU Basketball Program is now recruiting boys ages 12, and 15-18 only for its 2008 travel teams.  All candidates should have prior experience playing competitive basketball, are athletic and have parents or guardians that are willing and able to support this program.

  The candidate must have a C+ or better average with no failures at the end of school year.  We do extensive travel during the spring and summer and need athletes that are free from summer school!

  Our basketball program is well traveled; we play in all the top Philadelphia Tournaments and will be competing in various cities such as Pittsburgh, Hampton, Akron, Washington D.C., New York, Orlando, and Las Vegas!

  Keep in mind our program is only 70% sponsored, which means parents have to provide the other 30% that’s needed to meet travel expenses such as tournament fees, van rental, and gasoline, airfare, and hotel accommodations.  Typically, a two night stay in Pittsburgh will cost the parents $40.

  We expect each family to provide 1 male chaperone to at least 1 of our tournaments during the travel season.  It is imperative that families be active in fundraising projects so that cost to all can be kept to a minimum.

  Tryout sessions are currently being conducted in the Germantown section of Philadelphia on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.  Parents only, contact us and leave all return call information.  Our first major tournament is March 21, 2008, so hurry!  For a tryout contact Mr. Alvin Jones at (267) 971-6504.
