Randy's Weekly Honors, '09

Return to TedSilary.com Home Page

Randy Seidman is a constant at Washington games and this year is again giving out college honors to Philly Guys playing college baseball. Very cool!  Randy graduated from Washington, which his two sons also attended. Randy is an award-winning producer of televised sporting events and now works for the Comcast Network, in addition to doing free-lance work for many of the major networks. His career highlight -- producing games, on back-to-back days, when Julius Erving scored his 30,000th point and Mike Schmidt slammed his 500th homer. He may be reached at rseidman9@aol.com.
Check out Randy's awards from 2006 and 2007 and 2008.

2009 Hometown Philly All-Star & All-Rookie Selections
The fourth annual Hometown Philly awards were once again announced in downtown Philadelphia during the 4th of July weekend celebration. There were 167 players on opening day college baseball rosters hailing from three Philly high school leagues: Inter-Academic, Catholic and Public. These student-athletes represented 71 different colleges and universities.
Congrats go out to all of the honorees and their families, their teammates, coaches, managers, trainers, and especially to the seniors. OK - so this is it, the official wrap of season four. We will reconvene in the spring, and it will be under a very strong and recovering economy, where else could you get such insight, huh? So without further adieu, here are the 2009 recipients. As always, thanks to the daddy of tedsilary.com, the man himself, Ted Silary, for always touting the accomplishments of "our guys," and giving others the forum to do the same!
