Fordsing Ahead to Perfection!

  The Fords gather after winning the PAISAA Tournament to finish the season at 28-0.

  In the 2018-19 season, Haverford School, coached by Bernie Rogers, stormed to a 28-0 overall record to
become the first Inter-Ac League team to finish unbeaten since Friends' Central (21-0) in 1939.
  The final triumph was posted Feb. 23, at Jefferson University (formerly Philadelphia University), as the Fords
bested Westtown School, 67-62, in overtime, in the championship game of the annual tournament held by the
Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association (PAISAA).
  Frosh Jameel Brown led the way by hitting six three-pointers en route to 24 points. Christian Ray and
Jameer Nelson (17 apiece) also scored in double figures.
  The Fords did not claim their first lead, at 55-54, until 2:42 remained in regulation. They went ahead for good,
at 63-60, with 1:38 left in OT as Nelson posted a three-point play.
  Coach Rogers finished the season with a career record of 292-189 over 19 seasons -- 212-161 at Archbishop
Ryan (2001-15), 80-28 at HS (2016-19).
