  Semi St. Augustine Lost 57-48   A 16-6 third quarter proved to be a killer. Jalen Boyd-Savage (26) and Wisler
          Sanon paced the Eagles. They hit five and three treys, respectively.
2019 Qtr Bishop Eustace Won 70-46   Soph Wisler Sanon chalked up 20 points while Hartnel Haye and Tyshon
          Judge were right behind with 19 apiece.

2018 First Notre Dame Won 78-58   Tyshon Judge (22) and Hartnel Haye (19) were tops for the Eagles, who
          rolled to a 44-21 halftime advantage.

  Qtr Christian Brothers Won 44-41   Ivan Robinson (14) and Jay Howard (13) led the way.
  Semi St. Augustine Won 47-36   Jair Green and Jay Howard scored 15 points apiece and hit triples in a
          10-2 run to end the third quarter.
  Final St. Joseph. (Met.) Lost 81-62   Jay Howard poured in 29 points, but no Eagle joined him in double
          figures. Karl-Anthony Towns totaled 26 points, 13 rebounds and five
          blocks for the winners. He made his NBA debut two years later.
2013 Qtr Camden Catholic Won 52-49   Jay Howard packed 14 of his 20 points into the first half. Matt Risse 
          saved 11 of his 15 for the second and hit two free throws with 1:49 left
          to provide a 50-49 lead. Howard also had six steals.
  Semi Notre Dame Won 88-66   Matt Risse hustled for 19 points and nine rebounds to knock off the top
          seed. Jay Howard (18) and Matt O'Keefe (11) provided assistance.
  Final St. Joseph (Met.) Lost 76-69   Strong outings by Jay Howard (27), Matt Risse (17) and Ivan Robinson
          (12) were not enough.
2012 First Msgr. Donovan Won 72-31   Roosevelt Cubbage (16) led five double-figure scorers. MD owned
          just 18 points after three quarters.
  Qtr Holy Spirit Won 47-40   Jay Howard and Roosevelt Cubbage halved 24 points.
  Semi Notre Dame Won 67-46   Back from an ankle injury, Ron Curry scored 12 points to support Jay 
          Howard (17) and Roosevelt Cubbage (14).
  Final St. Joseph (Met.) Lost 51-41   Ron Curry (13 points, four assists) hit a three-pointer to create a 37-33
          lead with 6:06 left, but SJ roared to the next 15 points. Jay Howard had
          14 points.
2011 Qtr Red Bank Catholic Lost 76-73   While falling to the No. 7 seed, No. 2 PVI won the last quarter, 31-23,
          and edged as close as 74-73. Roosevelt Cubbage (23), Robert Poole (18)
          and Ron Curry (16) led the point parade.
2010 First Holy Spirit Won 51-48   In OT,  Ron Curry passed to Chris Jermyn (18) for a right-corner trey 
          with 0:10 showing. Jermyn saved seven points for the extra session.
  Qtr Camden Catholic Lost 63-43   Only Nick Moore (11) managed at least 10 points.
2009 First Red Bank Catholic Lost 66-56   Robert Poole and Chris Jermyn halved 28 points.
2008 Qtr Christian Brothers Won 57-49   Will Campbell racked up 14 of his 28 points in the first quarter and PVI
          won the first half, 35-20.
  Semi Camden Catholic Lost 53-47   The Eagles (Will Campbell 16) entered this one with 25 consecutive wins
          and finished 26-2. The game was tied after three quarters.
2007 First Camden Catholic Lost 51-49   Mike Stafford offered 18 points and Will Campbell had 15. CC won on
          an uncontested layup after holding the ball (no timeouts) for the last 2:47.
2006 Qtr Christian Brothers Lost 63-62   Santini Lanciano (drilled six three-pointers while scoring 27 points, but the
          Eagles missed four free throws in the final moments.

2005 Qtr Camden Catholic Lost 45-42   Bobby Harper (12), Shauwn Hines (11) and Santini Lanciano (10)
          scored in consecutive order for PVI, which was burned for 11 consecutive
          points in the fourth quarter.
2004 First Bishop Ahr Won 86-76   SIX Eagles scored in double digits -- Shauwn Hines (17), Bobby Harper
          (15), Brian Blumenstein (13), Brandon Robinson, Vinnie Milano (12 apiece)
          and Brian Wooten (10).
  Qtr St. Augustine Lost 71-54   The second half (45-27) did not go well. Brian Wooten had 14 points.
2003 First Holy Cross Won 52-49   Brandon Eicholtz contributed 20 points and the Eagles benefited from a  
          19-11 edge in the second quarter. Jim Hayden hit two free throws at 0:12
          to provide a 52-47 lead. The win was PVI's first in a playoff since '92.

1993 First Red Bank Catholic Lost 68-54   Kevin Ward scored 18 points.
1992 Qtr Christian Brothers Won 61-49   Rob Atene mixed 16 points with six assists and four steals while Chuck
          Guittar had 16 points, eight rebounds. The Eagles sealed the deal by
          hitting 25 of 33 free throws in the fourth quarter.
  Semi McCorristin Won 54-49   The Eagles, down by 11 at halftime, shot 9-for-10 at the line in the
          fourth quarter and scored nine of the last 14 points. Chuck Guittar
          had 16 points, 10 boards.
  Final St. Joseph (Met.) Lost 51-34   PVI shot 10-for-47 from the floor and SJ finished with a 16-2 run.
          Chuck Guittar had 13 points.
1991 First Holy Spirit Won 78-60   Frank Chiliberti hit three treys en route to 29 points and Rob Atene,
          in quite the coincidence, scored seven of his 17 points in a 17-7 first
          quarter.
  Qtr McCorristin Lost 65-50   The Eagles surrendered the final 12 points. Frank Chiliberti tallied 21.
1990 Qtr St. Joseph (Met.) Lost 52-50   PVI lost the OT session, 4-2. Tim Senatore's two free throws provided
          the last lead, at 50-49. Frank Chiliberti notched 19 points.
1989 First Holy Cross Won 63-45   Mike Mascolo (24) and Chris Kates (16) led the way.
  Qtr McCorristin Lost 66-48   Mike Mascolo (17) and Tim Senatore (15) were the only Eagles to
          score more than five points. Just three guys topped two.
1988 Qtr St. Rose Won 63-60   In the third OT, Kevin Gemmell put the Eagles in charge by tapping
          in a missed free throw. Regulation ended 53-53. Andy Howley's 26
          points enabled him to become PVI's fourth 1,000-point scorer.
  Semi Christian Brothers Won 38-36   Three-pointers provided 30 of PVI's 38 points. Andy Howley (14)
          and Mike Mascolo (12) drained four apiece.
  Final McCorristin Won 42-37   Andy Howley scored eight of his 15 points in a 13-6 fourth quarter
          and hit a triple to make it 38-34. McCorristin had won 19 in a row. In its
          three sectional wins, PVI knocked off, in order, the No. 3, No. 2 and
          No. 1 seeds by 10 total points.
  *Final Bergen Catholic Won 51-49   The Eagles again walked a tightrope under first-year coach Steve Selby,
          winning the state crown by two points. Andy Howley (22) was the top
          scorer while Kevin Shell had 17 points, seven boards. Selby made sure
          to note that PVI (23-7) was 14-0 in games advance scouted by Kevin
          Kulikowski, a mid-season staff addition.
1987 Qtr Camden Catholic Won 56-44   The Eagles shot 20-for-34 from the floor while turning the tables on an
          opponent that earlier triumphed by 18 points. Jeff Kowal shot 7-for-11
          and 6-for-6 for 20 points. Tom Pajic had 14 points, eight rebounds.
  Semi Christian Brothers Lost 62-43   Tom Pajic shot 10-for-17 for 20 points.
1986 Qtr St. John Vianney Won 48-45   Art Mascolo saved 15 of his 25 points for the second half and PVI needed
          them; SJV won it, 31-24. Neil Fromm had 13 points, eight rebounds.
  Semi Christian Brothers Lost 63-50   Art Mascolo reached 20 points. Tom Mulligan and David Robinson halved
          24.
1985 Qtr Notre Dame Won 59-57   Tim Howley tallied 18 points and hit two late free throws to win it.
          Brian Morehead (16) was close behind.
  Semi Msgr. Donovan Won 71-54   Brian Morehead was perfect at the line (14-for-14) while scoring 28
          points and the Eagles won the fourth quarter, 26-16. This was PVI's
          seventh consecutive trip to the semis and this win (No. 23 for the season)
          represented a school record.
  Final Christian Brothers Lost 64-46   Thanks mostly to Joe Paterno, who shot 10-for-11 and 11-for-11 for 31
          points overall, CBA led by at least 14 points throughout the second half.
          Tim Howley scored 16 ponts. Brian Morehead, a four-year starter, had
          10, finalizing his career total at 1,523 (school record).
1984 Qtr Holy Cross Won 49-48   Brian Morehead went 10-for-11 at the line while becoming the lone Eagle
          (22) to score in double digits. A basket by Morehead off a steal by Tom
          Mulligan/assist by Glen Gess gave PVI a 43-42 lead with 1:11 left. HC was
          then hit with a tech and Morehead sank two free throws.
  Semi St. Joseph (Met.) Won 74-49   The relatively easy win was powered by Brian Morehead (21) and Dave
          Morgan (15).
  Final Christian Brothers Lost 63-49   Down by 28-12, CB stormed to 22 of the next 24 points. Brian Morehead
          jammed 15 of his 23 points into the fourth quarter.
1983 First St. Thomas Aquinas Won 104-61   The romp was powered by Rich Risse (21), Brian Morehead (19), Matt
          Brady (16), Jack Franchi (15) and Ray LaGreca (11). The Eagles led at
          the half, 50-22.
  Qtr Christian Brothers Won 51-48   PVI knocked off the No. 2 seed thanks mostly to Brian Morehead (14),
          Rich Risse and Matt Brady (13 apiece).
  Semi St. John Vianney Won 61-44   Matt Brady had major fun dealing 15 assists. Rich Risse (19) and Tim
          Howley (15) were the primary beneficiaries.
  Final St. Joseph (Met.) Won 54-51   Rich Risse netted 15 of his 20 points in the second half and drove for a
          three-point play with 0:24 left that made it 50-47. Matt Brady had 19 points.
          The Eagles won the third quarter, 17-8.
  *Final Immaculata Won 55-54   Rich Risse (19) missed a corner jumper, but Tim Howley was there to score
          on a tip-in at 0:03. Matt Brady was named the MVP thanks to 16 points and
          10 assists. Brian Morehead had 14 points. PVI racked up one fourth of its
          20 wins in tournament play.
1982 Qtr Notre Dame Won 60-52   Mike Androlewicz hustled for 27 points and Carl Revels added 19. Matt
          Brady dealt 11 assists.
  Semi St. Joseph (TR) Lost 60-58   Mike Androlewicz (31) again was prominent, but the Eagles waved so-long
          to an eight-point lead in the final 3:15 of regulation. The game went two OTs.
1981 Qtr Camden Catholic Won 44-43   CC's Karl Sartor was fouled on a last-second follow . . . or not. The refs
          ruled Sartor was hacked after the buzzer and PVI survided. Mark
          Radziewicz scored seven of his 12 points to make it 42-39. Mike
          Androlewicz had 15 points.
  Semi Christian Brothers Lost 65-48   Matt Brady tabbed 13 points. CB won the fourth quarter, 27-15.
1980 Qtr St. Joseph (Met.) Won 53-51   Mark Radziewicz fed Matt Lonetto for a 12-foot jumper at 0:04 that
          broke the game's only tie.
  Semi Notre Dame Won 60-49   The Eagles rolled to a 20-7 lead in the first eight minutes. Matt Lonetto
          finished with 16 points.
  Final St. Joseph (TR) Won 60-49   Bob Shannon (16) and Ed Duckworth (14; he'd played for SJ as a frosh)
          led the Eagles to their second sectional crown.
  *Final Marist Won 37-36   Ed Duckworth stuck a 10-foot jumper with six seconds left to give SJ
          its first Parochial title since Bishop Eustace in 1969. The assist went to
          Barry Buchowski . . . after PVI had missed a free throw and follow.
1979 First Camden Catholic Won 44-21   Phil Seeberger scored five of his 12 points in OT and posted a field goal
          off a stolen inbound pass to make it 42-41. Mark Calzonetti notched 16
          points.
  Qtr St. Anthony Lost 56-53   A 23-17 fourth quarter disadvantage caused the Eagles to fall short. Barry
          Buchowski (12) and Mark Calzonetti (10) were the leaders.
1978 First Camden Catholic Lost 53-51   In OT, Kevin Callahan won it with an 18-foot jumper. Greg Calzonetti
          had 20 points for PVI and Joe Przybylkowski nailed a jumper to force
          the extra session.
1977 Qtr Notre Dame Won 57-52   Ed Gramigna scored seven of his 14 points in the fourth quarter. Mike 
          Dougherty added 13 points.
  Semi Christian Brothers Won 52-49   Kevin Donnegan tallied 14 points and canned a field goal to put the
          Eagles ahead for good at 48-47. Mike Dougherty (17) led the way.
  Final Red Bank Catholic Lost 39-33   Only Greg Calzonetti (11) and Mike Dougherty (10) topped four points.
1976 First St. Anthony Lost 57-54   Pat Hennessey sniped 7-for-8 and 6-for-6 for 20 points and hit a jumper
          at 0:05 that would have provided a 56-55 lead. Alas, an offensive foul
          was called off the ball.
1975 Qtr Notre Dame Won 68-59    Though star guard Joe Branco was out with an ankle injury, Rich
          Costello (19) and Pat Hennessey (16) enabled PVI to prevail.
  Semi Camden Catholic Won 67-48   Rich Costello and Pat Hennessey halved 36 points. Paul Witt added 13.
  Final Holy Cross Won 64-52   After dropping the first quarter, 19-12, the Eagles regrouped and
          stormed to their first sectional title thanks to balanced scoring from
          Paul Witt (16), Rich Costello (14), Joe Branco (11) and Jim Ackroyd (10).
  *Final Essex Catholic Lost 74-56   To assorted reporters, EC's coach predicted his powerhouse would romp by
          40. Halftime? PVI led by 35-31, thanks to 16-for-24 shooting from the floor.
          EC woke up in the second half. For the Eagles, Paul Witt (16), Rich Costello
          (12) and Pat Scharff (11) led in scoring.
1974 Qtr Christian Brothers Won 78-50   Gregg Metzinger shot 19-for-34 from the floor while exploding for 44
          points, breaking the school record (40) set by John Conway in 1969.
          Metzinger had sat out three weeks with a shoulder injury.
  Semi Camden Catholic Lost 60-57   The Eagles (Gregg Metzinger 22) were outscored by 27-10 in the
          fourth quarter.
1973 Qtr Christian Brothers Lost 71-58   Gregg Metzinger (12). The Eagles lost the third quarter, 21-2
