Steve Picot's Coaching History

  Steve Picot, the coach of boys lacrosse at Eastern Regional.

  Steve Picot, a product of Triton High and Rider University, led the boys lacrosse
program at Eastern Regional High from the time the program made its debut (in the
2003 season) through 2019.
  The Vikings did not qualify for the playoffs in the '03 and '04 season, but did so
in every season from '05 through '18.
  Steve stepped down after the '19 season upon taking over as Eastern's athletic
director. His record in playoffs was 17-14 and his teams advanced to semifinals
six times.
  Please note . . . Through 2012, the playoffs included teams from all over New Jersey.
Since then Eastern has competed in the South Jersey playoffs. Always in Group 4 (highest
enrollment classification).
  Steve finished with 177 career wins.

2017 First Monroe Lost 8-2   Ben Smith fired home two goals.
2016 First South Brunswick Won 15-6   Eric Ellis (four) and Mike Allen (three) led the goals parade while Zach
          Jacobs dished six assists. Colin McCollum made six stops.
  Qtr Southern Regional Won 9-6   Zach Jacobs and Joey Tiernan halved six goals, Tiernan and Eric Ellis had
          two assists apiece and Colin McCollum made eight saves.
  Semi Montgomery Lost 19-6   Zach Jacobs and Joey Tiernan managed two goals apiece.
2015 First Howell Won 9-8   Eric Sawyer and Mike Allen tallied three goals apiece for the Vikings, who
          led by 7-3 at halftime.
  Qtr Southern Regional Won 10-9   This one necessitated OT. Eric Ellis notched four goals, Eric Sawyer dealt
          four assists and Colin McCollum nade seven saves.
  Semi Cherokee Lost 12-6   Eric Sawyer scored four goals. Eastern had won both regular season tilts.
2014 First Freehold Won 8-7   Thirty-five seconds into overtime, Zach Jacobs took a pass from Luke Brown
          (four assists) and pumped home the game-winner. Collin Mitchell's third
          goal created a 7-7 tie in regulation.
  Qtr Southern Regional Lost 14-5   Collin Mitchell managed two tallies.
2013 First Cherokee Lost 12-1   Sam Smith tallied for the Vikings..

2012 First Toms River North Won 19-2   Robby Weingart paced this rout with six goals. Max Reiter added three.
  Qtr Lenape Won 9-5   Collin Mitchell, Robby Weingart and C.J. Penberthy racked up two goals
          apiece and the latter had two assists.
  Semi Westfield Lost 13-4   Robby Weingart posted two scores. Alex Haubrich had two assists.
2011 First South Brunswick Won 10-4   With five, Mike Jevic was the only Viking to score more than one goal.
          Nick DiNote (four) led in assists and Peter Cava made 12 saves.
  Qtr Bridgewater-Raritan Lost 21-2   Collin Mitchell and Nick DiNote did the scoring.
2010 Second Clifton Won 7-1   Dylan Florig scrambled for 14 saves and Mike D'Olio (four goals) powered
          the offense. Chris Minghenelli had three assists.
  Qtr North Hunterdon Won 12-7   Aside from racking up four goals apiece, Mike D'Olio and Mike Jevic
          halved eight assists. Dylan Florig again stopped 14 shots.
  Semi Montclair Lost 12-4   Mike D'Olio scored twice.
2009 First Jackson Won 10-3   Tyler Constantino poured in six goals to raise his career total to 112, one
          better than '07 grad Mike Feldberg. Dylan Florig had 11 stops.
  Qtr Bridgewater-Raritan Lost 11-3   Dylan Fox and Mike Jevic joined Tyler Constantino (113 final total) in the
          scoring column.
2008 First Toms River North Won 7-4   Steve Adelman recorded a hat trick and Dylan Florig made 11 saves. 
  Qtr Montclair Lost 9-3   Tyler Constantino scored twice and finished the season with 101 points 
          (57 goals, 44 assists). 
2007 First Jackson Won 16-1   Steve Adelman, Tyler Constantino, Mike Feldberg and Scott Higgins
          zipped home three goals apiece. Greg Egan needed to make just four saves.
  Qtr Columbia Won 11-9   The Vikings were pressed after claiming an 8-3 halftime lead, but advanced
          thanks mostly to four goals apiece from Steve Adelman/Mike Feldberg.
  Semi Hunterdon Central Lost 13-4   Steve Adelman scored twice.
2006 First Toms River North Won 13-2   Kevin Friel and Mike Feldberg halved six goals. Greg Egan had nine stops.
  Qtr Hillsborough Won 11-9   Kevin Friel, Bret Cypel, Bret DeMesquita and Scott Higgins offered two
          goals apiece while Joe Strain dished three assists.
  Semi Montclair Lost 5-1   Kevin Friel's goal prevented a shutout.
2005 Second Bridgewater-Raritan Lost 6-4   Jeff Doyle scrambled for 19 saves.
