**Delaware State Fr. RB Mike Waters (Imhotep) was named to the MEAC 3rd Team after rushing for a freshman school record 820 yards & 5 TDs for the Hornets.

**Congrats to Maine Jr. CB Najee Goode (Imhotep) on being named the 3rd Team All CAA Defense with a season in which he compiled 40 tackles, 1 sack, 2 interceptions, 7 pass break ups forced 3 fumbles and recovered 1 fumble returning it for a TD.

**Colgate Jr. DB Chris Morgan (Haverford) was named to the 1st Team All Patriot League after posting 65 tackles, 2 passes broken up forcing and recovering a fumble for the Raiders.

**In D2 playoff action our guys at IUP traveled to Fairmount St. (WV) and routed the Eagles in the first round before falling to rival PSAC member California (Pa) in round 2. In the Fairmount St. game IUP Jr. WR Walt Pegues (Central) caught 6 passes for 83 yards and a TD in a 62-18 rout.

**John Hopkins secured the school’s 4th consecutive undefeated regular season and hosted Randolph-Macon in a 1st round NCAA D3 playoff game winning with ease 42-21 securing a 2nd round game against defending D3 champion Mount Union in which they played an outstanding game losing in a tight contested game.

**Delaware Valley & Muhlenberg both finished the regular season at 9-2 and secured a berth into the Centennial-Mac Bowl Series with the game played in Allentown. Congrats to both schools on a successful season and what should be a great and entertaining game between 2 high scoring offenses. Delaware Valley rode their rushing game to a 30-27 road win.

**Notre Dame (OH) Jr. DE Claudy Matheiu (Washington) earned 1st team All-MEC honors after a great season in which he tallied 45 tackles including 13.5 for losses, 5.5 sacks and broke up 2 passes for the Falcons.

**Widener Sr. DE Byron Cooper (Imhotep) rang up a career best 11.5 sacks in his one and only season with the Pride.

**Penn State So. CB John Reid (SJ Prep) was named to the All Big 10 Honorable Mention team for his outstanding play this season.

**Congrats to Syracuse Jr. LB Zaire Franklin (LaSalle) on earning 3rd team all ACC honors after finishing the season with 101 tackles, 2 sacks, an interception, 3 passes broken up and a forced fumble.

**Tennessee Tech Fr. RB Yeedee Thaenrat (Judge) was named to the OVC all-new comer team after posting 707 rushing yards 6 TDs and 176 receiving yards.

**IUP Fr. RB Samir Bullock (Ryan) as a true freshman rushed for 989 yards & 9 TDs while also racking up 329 kick return yards and 16 receiving yards to total over 1300 all-purpose yards.

**Congrats to Temple Sr. TE Collin Thompson (Wood)who was named to the AAC all honorable mention offensive squad while helping Temple reach 10 wins for a school record second consecutive season and securing the Owls first conference championship. The Owls will look for a school record 11th win on the season in the Military Bowl against ACC foe Wake Forrest.

**Penn State won the Big 10 Championship over Wisconsin (Alex Hornibrook/Malvern) and will travel for a New Year’s Day battle with PAC 12 power USC.

**In a battle of former City League WRs the Quick Lane Bowl in Detroit, Michigan will feature Maryland (DJ Moore/Imhotep) will play former ACC rival Boston College (Thad Smith/O’Hara).

**Former LaSalle QB Kyle Schurmur will lead Vanderbilt in the Camping World Independence Bowl against North Carolina State in Shreveport, Louisiana.

**Army (Jeff Panara/Wood, Joseph Hansbury/Ryan) secured a Bowl bid and earned a date with North Texas in the Heart of the Dallas Bowl game to be played at the historical Cotton Field in Dallas, Texas.

**17 former City League guys look to make history on 12/27 down in Annapolis, Maryland as the Temple Owls look to win a school record 11th game in the Military Bowl against Wake Forrest.

**Pittsburgh (Ryan Winslow/LaSalle, Matt Galambos/Haverford, Jaryd Jones-Smith/West Catholic, Jimmy Morrisey) will meet Northwestern (Connor Mahoney/Malvern) in the New York Pinstripe Bowl Game at historical Yankee Stadium.

**In the New Mexico Bowl The University of New Mexico (Delane Hart/King) will host UTSA.

**In the Russell Athletic Bowl #16 West Virgina (Dontae Angus/King) take on Miami (Hayden Mahoney/Malvern) In Orlando, Florida

**In the Birmingham Bowl South Florida takes on South Carolina (David Williams/Imhotep)

**In the Capital One Orange Bowl #6 Michigan (Jon Runyan Jr./SJ Prep) battles #11 Florida State (Naseir Upshur/Imhotep in Miami.

**West Chester West Chester R-Fr. QB Paul Dooley (SCHA) notched his first career rushing TD in the Rams 27-7 win over Bloomsburg

**Delaware Valley So. QB Dashawn Darden (O’Hara) went 14/23 for 245 yards and 3 TDs while adding another 85 rushing yards and 2 TDs on the ground in a 52-10 rout of Wilkes

**Tennessee Tech Fr. Yeedee Thaenrat (Judge) rushed for 25 yards and a TD while also gathering 39 receiving yards in a 24-30 defeat at Eastern Illinois

**Benedict So. DT Anthony Pulliam (Benedict) notched 3 tackles in a 18-19 loss to conference foe Lane College.

**In the game of the Week Penn State hosts Ohio State under the lights in Happy Valley with Jr. CB John Reid (SJP) a defensive leader as well as returner ace providing leadership. R-Freshman DE Sharrif Miller (Washington) has made great strides this season as a pass rusher and will look to slow down Heisman candidate QB JT Barrett.

**East Stroudsburg Fr. WR Javier Buffalo (Ben Franklin) caught 2 passes for 70 yards and his 2nd TD of the season in a 30-49 loss to Kutztown

**California Jr. QB Michael Keir (Roman) threw for 300+ yards and a TD while also rushing for 2 TDs helping the Vulcans upset ranked IUP in a PSAC West showdown.

**Wagner Sr. RB Brandon Peoples (Wood) scored his first TD this season in a 25-21 comeback win over Central Connecticut in a key NEC matchup.

**Benedict So. DT Anthony Pulliam (Benedict) notched 3 tackles in a 18-19 loss to conference foe Lane College.

**Ursinus Sr. LB Tim Rafter (SJP) rang up 8 tackles and an interception he returned 29 yards in a 32-33 loss to Moravian.

**West Chester Fr. LB Steven Denby (Imhotep) rang up a career high 9 tackles in their loss to Kutztown.

**New Hampshire Fr. DB Prince Smith Jr. (Imhotep) leads the CAA in passes broken up (6) and is second in interceptions with 2.

**New Hampshire Fr. CB Prince Smith III (Imhotep) has impressed the staff well enough to earn a starting CB position and already has his first collegiate interception in the books. Keep up the great job Prince.

**Congrats to Wisconsin R-Fr. Alex Hornibrook (Malvern) who was recently named the starting QB for the Badgers heading into a big showdown against ranked Michigan State.

**** In Week 2 of the NFL season former city leaguers Will Parks (Broncos/Arizona/Germantown) and Zaire Anderson (Broncos/Nebraska/Frankford) recorded their first tackles in a win over the Colts.

**Northwestern Sr. LG Connor Mahoney (Malvern) also a captain for the Wildcats helped lead the team out of 2 game losing streak with gritty play in the trenches as Northwestern topped ACC foe Duke 24-13.

**Penn State’s Sophomore LB Jake Cooper & R-Freshman LG Ryan Bates (Wood) both started and starred in the Lions 34-27 triumph over Temple.

**Congrats to UMASS Fr. LG Raquan Thomas (Gratz) who has earned and nailed down a starting position on the offensive line for the Minutemen.

**Eastern Illinois Sr. DB Tyree Stone-Davis (Mastbaum) notched 5 tackles and his first career interception in the Panthers 24-21 win over rival Illinois State.

**In the Battle of PA Penn State fell short despite the great play by city leaguers John Reid (SJP) with 5 tackles and a fumble recovery, Jake Cooper (Wood) with 2 tackles and for Pittsburgh Matt Galambos (Haverford) notched 3 tackles in the 42-39 victory.

**Coastal Carolina Sr. WR Bruce Mapp (West Catholic) caught 2 passes for 45 yards and a TD in 45-10 rout of Florida A&M. The TD was his 16th of his career giving him sole possession of #2 on the all-time CCU receiving touchdown list.

D1A: Defensive Player of the Week: Pittsburgh Sr. LB Matt Galambos (Haverford) notched 4 tackles and 1 QB hurry in the Panthers 28-7 win over Villanova

D2 Offensive Player of the Week: Cheyney R-Jr WR Marcus Lyles (U-City) caught 4 passes for 48 yards and 1 TD in the Wolves 21-20 win over rival Lincoln University.

D2 Defensive Player of the Week: West Chester So. Nydair Rouse (Gratz) caught the game winning interception returning it 35 yards for a TD in 31-24 win at Bentley. He also produced 5 tackles and a sack.

**Congrats to the Cheyney Wolves, who ended the longest active losing streak in D2 football by knocking off rival Lincoln University (Pa) on the road in a nail biting finish. Jr. DB Jamiel Hines (Fels) led the way defensively with 6 tackles

**Delaware Valley So. QB Dashawn Darden (O’Hara) went 16/26 for 214 yards and a TD in the air as well as rushed 9 times for 31 yards and a score in the Aggies 24-21 upset of #7 Wesley.

**Delaware State True Fr. RB Mike Waters (Imhotep) in his debut rushed 4 times for 15 yards and caught a pass for 8yards in a 56-14 setback to rival University of Delaware

**Illinois Freshman DL Tymir Oliver (West Catholic) earned playing time as a reserve as a true freshman in game 1 of the season and recorded his first career tackle early in the 4th quarter of a 52-8 win over Murray State

**Sometimes a change of scenery is good for guys who start at the D1A level but don’t get the playing time they desire. This year a few guys have decided to move down the ladder and we wish them the best. Twins Tyree and Tyrin Stone-Davis both left Illinois and Western Michigan to play their final year at Eastern Illinois, David Pulliam has moved on from Eastern Michigan to North Carolina A&T, Deandre Scott has left Arizona and now is a starting safety at Maine, TJ Waters has left Robert Morris in favor of D3 Delaware Valley & Byron Cooper has moved on from West Chester down to D3 local school Widener.

**The Game of the Week for this upcoming weekend has to be the battle of PA between Penn State & Pittsburgh with both schools having 3-5 city leaguers who earn playing time.
