INTER-AC LEAGUE
Gtn. Academy 2, SCH Academy 1 (9 inn.): Jake Dianno lashed a walkoff
double to make reliever Z.J. Zabinski the winner. Ryan DeWalt pitched seven
shutout innings.
MAY 12
INTER-AC LEAGUE
Penn Charter 4, Haver. School 3: Bryan Hyland's mammoth homer gave HS
a 2-0 lead four batters into the game -- the ball landed close to third base on
the softball field beyond exact right-center -- but Harrison Timberlake wound up
hurling a six-hitter (three in the infield) and Mike Siani's two-run homer (also
way outta there, hit the third-base dugout on the softball field) keyed a
four-run third. Steve Brown (single) and Pete Kashatus (sac fly) had the other
RBI.
Malvern 5, SCH Academy 3: A five-run explosion in the home sixth,
erasing a 5-2 deficit, enabled the Friars (8-2) to claim their fifth consecutive
championship -- outrights in all but 2014. Tim Quinn and Matt Pantalone stroked
two-run singles while winner Chris Butera (3-for-4, six innings pitched) had the
other RBI. With a win over Penn Charter, HS (7-3) could have tied for the crown.

FIRST ROUND PLAYOFFS
Franklin 4, Rush 3: Christian Torres went 2 for 3 with an RBI. Odalis
Estevez-Rodriguez struck out 12 in a three-hitter. Rush's Matt Morgan fanned 11
in six frames.
Furness 10, Saul 9: Saul, which received two triples from Omar Pitts,
scored five runs in the visiting seventh to make it 9-9. Marshall Drummond (four
hits, three RBI) won it with a walkoff single.
Kensington 12, Future 9: Jason Morrillo's home run highlighted a
two-run sixth.
Bracetti 3, Southern 2: Miguel Cintron struck out nine in a no-hitter.
Cintron, Felix Rosa and Luis Graciani stroked doubles.
Maritime 4, Roxborough 3: Julio Ramos whiffed 13 in a three-hitter
while Edwin Rivera went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored.
King 12, String Theory 2 (5 inn.): Ahmad Hall went 2-for-2, Frank
Wilburn cracked a solo homer and Isaiah Gregory (also a triple) earned the
five-inning win.
Mastbaum 15, Franklin LC 0 (3 inn.): Winner Daniel Martinez went
2-for-3 with five RBI. Adonis Sabian went 2-for-3 with three RBI and a run
scored.
Science Lead. 7, Bodine 1: Ben Simon mowed down 11 in a one-hitter.
Lukas Supovitz-Aznar went 2-for-4 with three RBI and Ijustice Avery doubled.
CATHOLIC LEAGUE
Conwell-Egan 4, La Salle 3: With a runner on third, second baseman Brian
Nicolas made a leaping snag of Jimmy Herron's liner as Joey DeVos completed his
save of Cole Ingelido's win. Nate Erhard (two-run) and Shane Souchuck (one-run)
had singles for RBI. La Salle's Brian Buckley had a two-run single.
Bonner-Prendie 7, O'Hara 0: Collin DiGalbo (six innings, nine Ks, no
walks) and Evan Raiburn (one, one, none) combined for a no-hitter, the fourth
achieved against O'Hara this season. Richie Tecco (two runs), Alex Brady (RBI)
and Billy Myers (RBI, two runs) all went 2-for-3. O'Hara's two baserunners
reached on errors.
SJ Prep 11, Ryan 6: Joe DiProsperos went 2-for-4 with two doubles and
four RBI while Dino Cattai went 4-for-5 with one RBI and three runs scored. JT
Gosweiler notched the win.
Wood 6, Roman 3: Sean Kelly and Austin Hill doubled as Wood, behind
Kody Cracknell, claimed the regular season title.
Carroll 5, McDevitt 0: JJ Cicala, Mike Dudas and Brian Schnell combined
on a one-hitter. Cicala and JT Evangelist added doubles.
Neumann-Goretti 11, Lansdale 4: Vince Vaccone went 3-for-4 while Gino
Tripodi (complete game) earned his fifth league win.
MAY 8
PUBLIC LEAGUE A
Prep Charter 10, Lincoln 5: Dean D'Angelo and Keegan McKoskey both
tripled. Michael Lamb went five innings for the win.

Penn Charter 5, Episcopal 0: Frosh Mike Siani went the distance in the
shutout.
Haver. School 4, Malvern 3: Bryan Hyland singled in Tommy Toal (2 hits)
in the 7th inning for the game-winner. Tyler Dunbar threw six innings for the
win and Justin Meyer came on for the five-pitch save.
SCH Academy 5, Gtn. Academy 0: Danny Schubert went 2 for 3 with two
RBIs. Matthew Hoffman threw four innings of one-hit ball.
MAY 7
CATHOLIC LEAGUE
Carroll 8, Wood 6: A two-out, six-run rally in the fifth, fueled by
two-RBI doubles from Nicholas Argentieri and Max Frederick, gave Carroll the
edge. Chris Altopiedi struck out seven in five and two-thirds innings.
Bonner-Prendie 7, Conwell-Egan 1: Jake Miller reached base four times,
going 2 for 2 with two walks and an RBI. Steve Furman was 2 for 4 with two RBIs.
Dan Coggin went 2 for 4 with an RBI and a stolen base.
Judge 10, O'Hara 0: Dan Hammer threw a five-inning no-hitter and came
within one walk of a perfect game.
La Salle 16, Ryan 3: Jimmy Herron went 3 for 3 with two doubles and two
RBIs.
Roman 6, Neumann-Goretti 0 (10 inn.): Sophs Aidan Welch and Santino
Nave combined for the shutout. All six runs were scored in the 10th inning. Tre
Smith scored the go-ahead run on a suicide squeeze by Werten Bellamy.
SJ Prep 11, McDevitt 7: Jack Henkels went 4 for 5 with two triples, two
RBIs and two runs.
PUBLIC LEAGUE A
Franklin Towne 9, Washington 0: Steve Callahan's double in the first
inning drove in two, and Jason Santiago singled to drive in another, giving
Franklin Towne Charter momentum that carried the rest of the game. Callahan went
the distance, striking out 11 and walking one.
Lincoln 8, GAMP 6: Despite a two-out GAMP rally in the sixth, James
Knotwell hung in to strike out the final batter with the tying run on second to
keep the lead for Lincoln. Knotwell went the distance and struck out four,
allowing only one earned run.
Northeast 2, Esperanza 1: Freshman right-hander Jason DeJesus earned
his third win of the season with a three-hitter, striking out four. Eli Mejia
went 2 for 2 and drove in the first run of the game.
Olney 13, Masterman 0: Jeffrey DeLeon went 3 for 3 with five RBIs and
two triples.
Frankford 5, Phila. Academy 3 (9 inn.): The Pioneers got two runs in
the ninth; Julio Burgos crossed the plate on a balk and Edgardo Bernard scored
on Wes Delgado's ground out. Danillo Tejada pitched two innings of no-hit relief
for the win.
PUBLIC LEAGUE B
Swenson 15, Eng. and Science 0: Johneric Vincente threw a three-inning
no-hitter, striking out five in the process, and improving his streak of no-hit
innings to nine -- five vs. Fels on April 24 and one in mopup duty last Friday
vs. Phila. Electrical. Xavier Delgado doubled twice. Swenson clinched the B
Division title with an 11-1 record.
Furness 13, Bodine 2: Five straight batters reached base to open the
game, and Marshall Drummond, Mateen Bradley and Mike Foster each drove in a run
in the first. Jose Luis struck out 10 in a complete game and didn't allow an
earned run. Set Williams was 3 for 4 with two RBIs and a run scored.
Mastbaum 11, Phila. Electrical 3: Euri Caba went 4 for 4 with four
RBIs. Argenis Sabian earned his first varsity win. The freshman pitched four
innings and struck out five.
Bracetti 2, Roxborough 1: No details.
Franklin 16, Fels 1: No details.
Kensington 9, King 9: Suspended. Result ruled a tie (for now.)

Bartram 17, Franklin LC 8: Jarrett Newton and Quincy Members each drove in
four runs.

each for Saul.

Future 14, World Comm. 3: Marvin Dozier had four hits, three RBI.

Franklin Towne 9, Esperanza 5: Steve Callahan went 3 for 4, scored a run
and drove in another. In the fourth inning, Callahan caught a line drive up the
middle, tagged second base, then threw to first base to complete a triple play.
PUBLIC LEAGUE B
Boys' Latin 10, Eng. and Science 0: Abdur Mujahid struck out seven in the
first three innings and Steve McGill had a two-run single in a five-run first.
Franklin 10, Furness 8: No details.
PUBLIC LEAGUE C
Maritime 4, Tacony 3: Cody Sweeten
struck out nine in a complete game. Logan Dougherty and Mason Richardson
recorded multi-hit games.
Rush 13, Sankofa 2: Winning pitcher Anthony Moore cracked a three-run
homer en route to five RBI. Akil Abduh had two hits and one RBI while scoring
two runs.
MAY 5
CATHOLIC LEAGUE
Wood 12, SJ Prep 1: Joey Lancellotti allowed four hits in the five-inning
game and went 2-for-3 with a walk and two RBI. Anthony Zupito turned a double
and triple into two RBI. Matt Cummiskey (double) and Sean Kelly (single) had
hits worth two RBI in a six-run third.
Ryan 5, Bonner-Prendie 4 (9 inn.): Matt Rocchi drove in Matt Romano
with an infield single in the bottom of the ninth to win it for reliever Matt
Pagiegal. Romano went 4 for 4 with three runs scored and two doubles.
Judge 5, Conwell-Egan 4 (8 inn.): Sam Naftulin drove in Angel Alicea in
the bottom of the 8th to win it for Frank Nolan.
Lansdale 3, O'Hara 2: With one out in the bottom of the sixth, PJ
Guippone drove in Karl Brill with a suicide squeeze to give Lansdale Catholic
the lead for good. Ryan Logan struck out seven in a four-hitter. O'Hara's Chris
Salvey went yard.
La Salle 8, McDevitt 2: Langston Livingston went 2 for 3 with three
RBIs, two runs and a triple to support James Dougherty. La Salle hit three
triples.
Roman 6, Carroll 2: Bobby Lang had eight strikeouts and a one-hitter
through six innings for Roman. Noah Clement went 2 for 4 with two RBIs, two runs
and two doubles.
INTER-AC LEAGUE
Haver. School 8, SCH Academy 3: Justin Meyer went 2 for 2 with a double, a
home run and three RBIs. SCH's AJ LaBella homered twice.
Malvern 4, Episcopal 0: Chris Butera struck out three in a
three-hitter. Butera and Tim Quinn doubled.
Penn Charter 11, Gtn. Academy 5: Stephen Brown hit a solo home run in
the top of the third for Penn Charter. Kenny Bergmann and Mike Siani doubled.

Frankford 11, Masterman 1: Josh Pagan singled in two to give Frankford the
lead for good in the second inning. Rudy Diaz finished 2 for 2 with two RBIs and
tripled in the fourth inning.

Boys' Latin 14, Roxborough 5: Manny Fernandez and Imier Hagans hit home
runs for Boys' Latin.
PUBLIC LEAGUE C
Overbrook 13, Randolph 10: William Patterson went 4 for 5 with a triple,
six RBIs and a run scored.
Saul 15, Freire 5: Nate Teagle had two doubles and six RBIs for Saul.
Science Lead. 6, Maritime 5: Kevin Courtney hit a solo home run to the
opposite field in the bottom of the sixth to put Science Leadership ahead, 6-3.
Lucas Supovitz-Aznar struck out 15 in a complete game. He struck out the final
two batters with the tying run on second base. SLA (11-0) clinched the division
title.
Southern 17, Sankofa 2: Elliot Castillo went 3 for 3 with a double, a
triple, two runs and six RBIs.
PUBLIC LEAGUE D
Future 7, Dobbins 3: Tony Brown went 2 for 2 with two doubles and two
RBIs. Marvin Dozier went 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs.
Gratz 10, World Comm. 8: Germaine Smith whiffed 14 and Javon Whitfield
had four RBI.

MAY 4
CATHOLIC LEAGUE
Lansdale 3, Ryan 1: Mike Ottomano's two-run single, on a groundball up the
middle that hit the second base bag and took a crazy bounce into right-center,
highlighted a three-run second. Winning pitcher Kyle Diseroad then added an RBI
single. Ryan Quigley pitched the entire seventh, inducing a forceout after Ryan
loaded the bases. Matt Romano and Cory Hunter halved four hits for Ryan.
PUBLIC LEAGUE A
Franklin Towne 9, Masterman 7: Steve Callahan slugged a pair of doubles
and had four RBIs. Rob Henry went 2 for 3 with a pair of runs.
GAMP 4, Edison 1: Matt Ventus pitched a seven-hitter with 10 strikeouts
and two walks.
Olney 4, Lincoln 3: Joseph Gomez pitched a complete game (five hits)
with 10 strikeouts. He also had two hits, including a triple, and a pair of
runs.
Phila. Academy 9, Northeast 6: Timmy Zink went 2 for 4 with a pair of
RBIs. Freshman Eric Cantor pitched the first complete game of his career and
scored twice.
Frankford 19, Prep Charter 7: Giovanni Burgos went 5 for 6 with five
runs scored from the leadoff spot. In six plate appearances, catcher Josh Pagan
walked twice and got plunked four times.
Washington 9, Esperanza 4: Chase Alexander went 2 for 3 with two runs
scored. Matt McHale went 3 for 4 with four RBIs.
PUBLIC LEAGUE B
Bodine 10, Eng. and Science 1: Kevin Perez struck out 16 while yielding
seven hits. Derrick McLean went 2 for 2 with two RBIs and two runs.
Boys' Latin 11, Furness 1: Manny Fernandez struck out seven in a
five-inning three-hitter. Cory Little, Asa James, Abdur Mujahid all hit home
runs for Boys' Latin. Mujahid's grand slam ended the game via the mercy rule in
the fifth. Ben Sinakin went 2 for 2 with a home run for Furness.
Mastbaum 5, Roxborough 2: Daniel Martinez went 2 for 4 with four RBIs
for the Panthers.
Swenson 6, King 5: Kyle Nolde won it with a single in the bottom of the
seventh. David Fred went 3 for 4 with two RBIs.

Franklin LC 8, Tacony 7: Phat Huynh drew a bases-loaded walk to win the
game in the bottom of the seventh.

a triple and four RBIs. David Baker went 3 for 5 with five RBIs. Science

INTER-AC LEAGUE
Malvern 5, Penn Charter 4: As an attempt at a suicide squeeze was
unsuccessful, Chris Butera (also a two-run single) was able to steal home and
give Malvern the walkoff win. Frosh Billy Corcoran won in relief. Chance DiFebbo
went 3-for-4 with a one-run triple. For PC, Steve Lorenz homered and Dom Teso
stroked a two-run single.
Haver. School 5, Gtn. Academy 3 (8 inn.): Bryan Hyland scored the
decisive run, David Hogarth had two RBI and James McConnon notched three hits.
GA's Vince Capone doubled twice en route to two RBI.
SCH Academy 1, Episcopal 0: Aidan Frye owned a perfect game through 5
2/3 innings and finished with a three-hitter. With runners on second and third
in the seventh, he induced a fielder's choice and got the last out on a popup.
SCH scored in the first as AJ LaBella's double brought in Chris "Bubby" Alleyne.
PUBLIC LEAGUE A
Franklin Towne 3, Lincoln 0: Steve Callahan struck out 10 in a two-hitter.
Olney 12, Edison 2: Giovanni Ortega went 3 for 3 with four RBIs. Joseph
Gomez struck out six in a five-inning four-hitter.
Phila. Academy 10, Washington 2: Dylan Prendergast went 3 for 5 with
two RBIs and a run scored. Working on three days of rest, Anthony Pickens
pitched his second complete game of the week.

King 7, Bodine 2: Frank Wilburn (double), Demetrius Smith, and Isaiah
Gregory each went 2 for 3.

innings.
Mastbaum 15, Fels 0: Miguel Camacho went 2 for 3 with three RBIs.

left-field line to win the game.

CATHOLIC LEAGUE
Bonner-Prendie 4, Wood 0: Nick Bralczyk scattered six hits, Steve Furman
went 3-for-3 with a double and three guys (Christian DiGalbo, Paul Curran,
Brendan "Chop" Phillips) had RBI singles. The Vikings suffered a shutout in CL
play for the first time since April 12, 2012 (12-0 vs. Neumann-Goretti). Before
today, they'd scored at least one run in their previous 50 CL games -- 42 in the
regular season, eight in playoffs.
PUBLIC LEAGUE A
Esperanza 16, Masterman 2: Hector Morales hit a solo homer for Esperanza.
Masterman's Greg Whitehorn hit a two-run single in the third to prevent the game
from ending.
PUBLIC LEAGUE B
Kensington 5, Franklin 3: Luis Matos tossed a complete game with 12
strikeouts. Anibal Goytia went 2 for 3 with two runs and four stolen bases.
PUBLIC LEAGUE C
Franklin LC 8, Saul 2: Isaias Palomares went 2 for 3 with two RBIs.
Maritime 9, Bartram 8: Mason Richardson had two RBIs and two stolen
bases. Quincy Members hit a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh for
Bartram.
Rush 20, Randolph 0: Anthony Moore went 3 for 3 with seven RBIs and
three runs scored.
Science Lead. 18, Sankofa 1: Kevin Courtney went 4 for 4 with a homer,
two triples and seven RBIs. Ben Simon went 2 for 3 with a double. Ijustice Avery
went 2 for 2 with a three-run home run. Nick Clark struck out nine in a
four-inning three-hitter.
Southern 11, Freire 8: Pedro Reyes pitched six innings and had 13
strikeouts.
Tacony 14, Del-Val 1: Davante Cortez went 1 for 2 with a two-run triple
and a walk. Shane Lutz struck out eight.

Dobbins 12, West Phila. 2:
Aaron Kirby went 3 for 3 with four runs and Ryan Blair was 5 for 5 with five
runs.

String Theory 9, Future 2: Gianfranco Borgesi struck out 14 in a
one-hitter and Frank Ponzio went 2 for 2 with four RBIs as String Theory won the
division at 11-1.
APRIL 29
CATHOLIC LEAGUE
O'Hara 8, Roman 5: Chris Salvey collected four RBI on a three-run homer
and one-run double, Nick Newman posted two RBI singles and Isaiah Hammond earned
the win in relief with three shutout innings (third through fifth). Roman's Jon
Stoffere and Derek Keough halved four RBI.
Bonner-Prendie 3, Neumann-Goretti 1: Danny Goggin posted a three-hitter
with eight whiffs and the Friars scored three in the sixth thanks to Christian
DiGalbo's two-run double and Alex Brady's RBI single. Paul Curran and Steve
Furman added two hits apiece.
La Salle 9, Judge 2: Andrew Cossetti (two RBI), Ian McIntosh and Gregg
Sywulak (one double apiece) supported Zach Moretski.
Ryan 6, McDevitt 0: Shane McGrody fanned five in the shutout. Josh
Lopez contributed two doubles, two RBI, and Matt Romano went 3-for-3 with two
runs scored.
Wood 10, Conwell-Egan 3: Joey Lancellotti upped his CL record this
season to 4-0 while adding a solo homer. Bob Heck thumped a two-run double.
SJ Prep 4, Lansdale 2: Colin Scanlon (five innings) and Andrew Magiera
did the pitching. Keith Flaherty had a hit and sac fly.

Franklin Towne 10, Edison 0: Eric Sanchez pitched a one-hitter in five
innings and went 3 for 3 with one run scored and a stolen base.
Frankford 10, Northeast 8: Edgardo Bernard hit a grand slam in the
fourth inning and Giovanni Burgos was 3 for 4 with three runs scored.
Lincoln 12, Esperanza 4: Jason Chattley struck out 10 and walked two.
Victor Cerda went 2 for 4 with a triple and three RBIs.
Masterman 10, Phila. Academy 1: Liam Shanahan had four strikeouts in
seven innings and went 2 for 4 with four RBIs.
Olney 7, Central 1: Giovanni Ortega went 2 for 2 with two runs scored
and Kenny Cruz fanned nine.
Washington 4, Prep Charter 2: Eddie Tingle struck out 16 in a
five-hitter and also hit a home run.

Swenson 4, Roxborough 0: Brian Nieves struck out 16 in a two-hitter.
Alex Bautista went 3 for 4 with three RBIs. For Roxborough, Collin Yeager had 13
strikeouts.

Gratz 14, Future 13 (8 inn.): James Paschall pitched all eight innings and
had nine strikeouts. Javon Whitfield went 2 for 5 with three RBIs. For Future,
Justin Billups went 3 for 5 with four RBIs.
APRIL 28
INTER-AC LEAGUE
Episcopal 9, Gtn. Academy 6: AJ Lotsis went 2-for-2 with a double, homer,
two walks, two RBI and three runs scored. Ben Burman and Will Phillips had
two-run singles in a six-run third. GA's Vince Capone doubled and tripled for
two RBI and Ryan Calhoun had a two-run double.
Haverford School 8, Penn Charter 7 (10 inn.): Kevin McGowan homered
with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to send the game to extra innings.
Bryan Hyland had three hits, including a home run. Nick Greco added two homers.
Justin Meyer earned the win with 3.1 hitless/shutout innings. PC's Pete Kashatus
had two hits, three RBI.
Malvern 10, SCH Academy 2: Clay Koniecki belted a home run to start the
