***Scratch that. Coaches' All-Catholic Team
won't be posted tonight. Sorry.***

The answer to the trivia question is
Kevin Butler. He
pitched a no-hitter for Randolph vs. now-closed University City in
2010. Randolph's students play football for Dobbins. He was Dobbins'
starting QB in the '09 and '10 seasons.
Update - hint: The guy who's the answer did his pitching and
quarterbacking for different schools!!
The standings have been updated through
5/12. Click
here.
Update: Here are the incorrect guesses, with MANY for some of the
guys, we've received so far for the trivia question listed below:
Penn Charter's Matt Ryan, Germantown Academy's Sean Grieve,
Dougherty's Sean McGovern, Mastbaum's John Grone, Frankford's Tim
DiGiorgio, SJ Prep's Aaron Haas, Ryan's Ed Hughes, Chestnut Hill
Academy's Mike Mattei, Ryan's John Price, N-G's Mark Donato
and SJ Prep's Chris Martin. (Some didn't pitch in
this century. One didn't even play football -- smile.) Anyway, the correct answer will be posted at 11
o'clock. (Ryan's John Price DID pitch a perfect game in 2000, but
his football career ended in the fall of '99.) . . .
And I'll give a hint at 10!

Meanwhile, Malvern beat SCH Academy, 5-3, to win the championship at

Update: Only incorrect guesses so far
on the no-hitter question listed below. Keep trying, folks. The
effort is appreciated.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the
family and friends of Bill Small. Bill, a first team All-City
linebacker for North Catholic in '86 and an All-American honoree at
Lycoming (HOF
inductee in '05), passed away over the weekend. RIP,
Bill.
Note from Ted: As near as I can figure,
Bonner-Prendie's Collin DiGalbo
yesterday became just the second Cath/Pub/Int quarterback in this
century to be part of a no-hitter. Who was the other? Send your
guess to me at
tedtee307@yahoo.com
and become famous (smile).
In lacrosse yesterday, Penn Charter
